Cookie policy
The short version: Devdwell uses Google Analytics to count page views, and nothing else. It does not load and sets no cookies until you agree, there is no advertising and no cross-site tracking either way, and everything below is checkable in your own browser.

What is stored on your device
Four things at most, all first-party, none of them used to follow you to another site. The first two are always present and are how the site remembers your own settings; the last two are Google Analytics and only exist if you allowed it. Local storage is not a cookie. It is never transmitted anywhere, it stays in your browser and only this site can read it.

Cookies
Two, both from Google Analytics, and neither is set until you say yes. Until then this site sets no cookies at all. You can confirm it: open your browser's developer tools before answering the notice, look under Application → Cookies, and the list fordevdwell.com will be empty. Answer "Reject non-essential" and it stays empty; the analytics script is never even requested.
There is no advertising or remarketing tag of any kind: no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, no Google Ads tag, no Hotjar or session recording. The one measurement tag we do run is configured for counting page views, not for building advertising audiences, and Google's advertising and personalisation permissions are set to denied whether or not you accept.
If you accept and then change your mind, the two cookies are deleted the moment you reject, withdrawing actually withdraws rather than simply stopping the next one.
Third parties
Before you answer the notice, loading a page here contacts no one but us. The site, its fonts, its images and the accessibility toolbar are all served fromdevdwell.com, so no other company sees your IP address in the course of a normal visit. The two exceptions below are both things you have to go looking for.
If you allow analytics, one more is added: Google, which then receives page views and the technical detail that comes with any web request, approximate region, device, browser and referring site. That transfer only happens after you have agreed to it, and it stops when you withdraw.
One other page type reaches a third party, and it is the point of the page rather than a side effect. Each project page under selected workframes that client's own live website so you can see it running. Loading one contacts that client's domain, and whatever their site loads, exactly as visiting it directly would, so your browser is seen by their host and any cookies belong to them, not to us. Nothing is framed anywhere else on this site, and no other page contacts anyone.
There is one exception, and it only happens if you ask for it. The accessibility toolbar can translate itself, and choosing a language other than English fetches that translation file from jsDelivr, a public open-source CDN. That request reveals your IP address to them, as any request to any server does. Nothing else on the site talks to them.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf and keeps short-lived security and availability logs. That is a hosting function, not tracking, and it happens for every site on the internet behind a CDN.

If this changes
