In short
If you run a small business, Devdwell lets you make everyday changes to your website yourself: new opening hours, a new photo, a price change. You describe the change in plain words, watch it appear in a preview, and publish when it looks right. Nothing goes live until you press Publish.
The changes you’d otherwise wait on
Most website changes a business needs are small: holiday hours, a new staff member, this season’s menu, a typo on the contact page. Devdwell lets you do them in minutes:
- Open your site in Devdwell, on your computer or your phone.
- Write what you want, for example “change Saturday to 9 till 1”.
- Look at the preview, on desktop and phone sizes.
- Press Publish when it’s right.
Your designer stays involved
If someone built your site for you, they can share it with you in Devdwell with “Can edit”: you make changes, they check and publish. Or with “Can edit and publish” if you’d rather do it all yourself. Either way you only see your own site, and they keep looking after the rest. How sharing works.
Do it from your phone
Open devdwell.com/app on your phone, pick your site and describe the change. The computer that has your site makes it and shows you a picture of the result. Edit your site from your phone.
Your site stays yours
Your website is ordinary files and stays online where it’s published. If you stop using Devdwell, nothing happens to it.
Questions
Do I need to know anything about websites?
No. You describe changes in plain words and see them in a preview before anything goes live.
My site was built by someone else. Can I still use Devdwell?
Yes. Ask them to share it with you in Devdwell, or import it yourself if you have its files.
What if I make a mistake?
Nothing goes live until you publish. If you don’t like a change, ask for it to be put back, or check it on a private staging link first.
